Sales Policy
The following sales policies are put in place to ensure a smooth and satisfying transaction for both parties. Please contact us with any questions.
By sending a deposit or placing a reservation on an animal, you indicate that you are in agreement with these terms:
Baumgartner Acres does not accept formal reservations. We do, however, keep a wish list so let us know which breedings you have your eye on and we will keep that in mind. Please message us immediately if you see a kid you are especially interested in on a birth announcement. Kids will be sold on a first come first served basis. We are always available via text, email or FB messenger.
We ask for 1/2 the purchase price as a deposit to hold the kid until transport or pick up. Deposits are non refundable if the buyer does not go through with the sale. Bottle baby kids are expected to leave for their new homes by 4 weeks of age unless other arrangements have been made with us. Keep us in the loop on your plans, and we will do everything we can work with you. We reserve the right to cancel a sale, at our discretion, if we feel it is in the animal's best interest to do so. In this instance all monies will be refunded. In the event that an animal is not transported or picked up within 90 days of sale - with no communication to make arrangements for the animal - all monies will be forfeit and the animal will again be available for sale.
While we make every effort to be accommodating on transportation we will not put any of our animals, kids or adults, in a situation that we feel could jeopardize their health or well being.
We have a transporter that we work closely with. We also occasionally find transport through other respected breeders who are coming to meet us or just happen to be making a transport run themselves. We will be happy to help arrange transport in this way whenever possible. Please ask, and we will be happy to discuss routes and options. We work very hard to ensure your new goats arrive at their destination in tip top condition with as little stress as possible. All transport costs through third party transports are the responsibility of the buyer.
Farm pick ups are welcome! Just check with us and we will be happy to arrange a time and date.
All animals leaving the farm will be accompanied by a certificate of health from our Veterinarian. In some instances you will also need to purchase a crate for your kid, especially if it is being shipped by air or carried by another breeder. We can purchase this for you, they usually run around $50, or you can purchase one and have it shipped to us. All fees for Health Certificates and crates are the responsibility of the buyer and must be paid prior to transport. All animals must be paid in full prior to transport.
Animals are healthy, vaccinated, disbudded, wormed, copper bolused and ready to go when they leave our herd. Due to the stresses of shipping and transport we cannot offer further health guarantees. Also, please note that we do not guarantee marbled eyes to stay marbled. They continue to change as the kid grows. Thank you!
